Research Focus: Additive Manufacturing (AM) with applications in Defence, Aerospace, and allied fields.

Are you a recent graduate (Master's degree or equivalent) with a strong interest in pursuing a Ph.D. in Additive Manufacturing?

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented full-time Ph.D. student to join our research group at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kurnool. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, with a demonstrated interest in Additive Manufacturing technologies (e.g., 3D printing), adapting 3D printing for Electronic Equipment’s. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on cutting-edge Additive Manufacturing techniques and applications.

  • Participate in the development and execution of research projects.

  • Analyze data, write research papers, and present findings to good academic journals. 

  • Collaborate with faculty and other researchers.

  • Contribute to the overall research environment of the group.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or allied of Engineering or a closely related field.

  • Strong academic background with a decent CGPA (This does not determine your skill, anyday hardwork beats talent, not the other way around)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software is a plus.

  • Strong communication and writing skills. (This will you nurture with time, don’t worry, no one is born as English laurate from birth, you enlist the skill with time)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. (When your supervisor is not there, your going to lead a team of Bachelor and Masters students, to ensure they learn from you and vice versa)
