M. Tech. in VLSI and Embedded systems

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

M. Tech. in VLSI and Embedded systems

Overview:

The development of VLSI (Very Large-Scale Integration) systems combines millions of transistors into a single chip to create complex integrated circuits, which are used in various applications such as automotive, industrial, and communication systems. Embedded systems are pervasive in diverse areas, with tremendous growth in applications and innovation in high-performance networked real-time embedded systems.

To maintain growth rates, VLSI technology and embedded systems development organizations need designers, analysts, developers, manufacturing, test and marketing engineers, and managers with graduate degrees in VLSI and Embedded Systems.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering offers a master's course. M.Tech in VLSI and Embedded Systems – to train ambitious, innovative and creative graduates who can take on the role of electronics engineers who can conceive, design, analyze and develop VLSI and Embedded Systems that meet modern requirements.

As the product and service based semiconductor industry grows, there are diverse career opportunities in product development companies such as mobile and consumer electronics, computing, telecom, networking, computing, automotive, healthcare and industrial applications.

In this connection, IIITDM kurnool's Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering aims to meet the growing need for staffing as engineers in the VLSI and embedded systems field through the M.Tech Program in VLSI and Embedded Systems.

In this context, The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIITDM kurnool would like to add to the growing human resources needs of VLSI and the embedded system sector as engineers through its M.Tech. programme in VLSI and Embedded Systems.

During the program, a theoretical foundation is built through courses such as MOSFET modeling in VLSI circuits, VLSI digital system design, embedded system design, analog and mixed-mode design, and electronic packaging and manufacturing. This practice includes developing skills in front-end and back-end design, validation, and testing. The program also provides in-depth knowledge and hands-on skills to develop embedded solutions on various platforms such as FPGAs, advanced microcontrollers and processors. Students will learn how to implement embedded real-time systems. Designers gain practical knowledge through small and large projects in the areas of VLSI and embedded system design.
